[Notice] Introducing Hero - Oswald (Water)
#Water_Oswald
"Anyone can be a hero."
That was the final line of the Lancelotte Heroic Saga. But when Oswald closed the book, still a boy at the time, his voice rang with defiance. "No, not just anyone!" If a hero were to rise and bring order to the world, he believed that honor could belong only to himself.
The inherited armor, the portrait of the grand duke in the hall, and the legends passed down through his family were all reminders of the greatness he was born to carry. When he finally earned a title of his own, he was certain that his era had begun. But one misstep shattered everything. In a single, avoidable mistake, every subordinate under his command was lost. For the first time, the young count found himself at a loss. He had believed that valor, wisdom, and glory were all his by birthright. Yet they had failed him.
The heroic sagas he once revered now felt distant. Even cruel. He could not bring himself to open a single page. The flawless legends within seemed only to highlight his own failures.
His first breath of relief, though he would never admit it, came after he surrendered full authority to his twin sister. Of course, the handover was far from smooth. There were harsh words, endless arguments, and accusations he couldn't deny. When accused of being irresponsible, he had no defense to offer. Eventually, Oswald left, without apology and without direction.
He departed in search of the Lancelotte family's secret technique, one that should not have existed. In seeking it, he found escape. If it could never be found, he would never have to return. Oswald became a drifter. A performer in one land, a nobleman in another. Some even called him a god.
And yet, fate led him back. Back to where the legend began. Back to a voice that called to something buried deep within him. Coincidence no longer felt like an explanation.
Once more, Oswald stands at a crossroads. His journey has no clear end. But with every step forward, a new story begins. At last, he chooses to believe—in his calling, in those who walk beside him, and above all, in himself.
