#Dark_Ondal
Ondal. In the languages of the East, it is a name that evokes the fullness of the midnight moon, suggesting a life of abundance. That said, most bearers of this name never experienced such prosperity. Like many others, they were born into poverty and rose solely through their own strength. Among them, however, this Ondal undoubtedly endured the most arduous life.
For better or worse, many choices presented themselves along his path. He could have lived as an ordinary butcher rather than a great general, or remained merely a close friend to the empress, instead of being her personal guard. Some might consider it fortunate that he served both as guard and friend simultaneously. Yet considering what Ondal was faced with, this could be viewed as the greatest misfortune of all.
The sword bestowed by his sovereign. The sword placed in his hand by his liege. The sword that struck down his empress. When you consider that all three swords were one and the same, the remorse he felt becomes self-explanatory. To Ondal, his liege was someone to protect, his closest friend, and one for whom he harbored even deeper feelings.
After fulfilling his liege's final wish, Ondal became an eternal wanderer, lost in time. It was a period like endless eternity. He always survived like smoldering embers, even on battlefields reduced to ashes. Thus, it was hardly surprising when 'another liege' found him.
But will it be different this time? Is it just someone to guide a lost heart? Someone to fill an empty soul? While Ondal may have had several benefactors throughout different eras, at present, his loyalty points solely toward you.
So place your trust in him. For he is, as always, Ondal—your Ondal.
