The life of this wandering mage begins in the lost kingdom of Kurzweil, the place that gave her the name.
When a mysterious fever swept through the kingdom, even the man who was to be Brandt's father could not escape its grip. All the physicians could do was prescribe painkillers. It was then that Cesaire arrived in the kingdom and cured his fever with her cold breath. Apparently, she had come to visit Lilian after a long time, and it was no difficult task for her to help the suffering man. As he rose from his sickbed, the man promised to grant the mage a wish. All Cesaire wanted was the family name, Kurzweil. Bearing the royal surname, she set out on her journey.
Cesaire returned when disaster had already engulfed the kingdom. During her absence, her friend Lilian had become a part of the royal family and had passed defending the people from the calamity. The kingdom, once filled with joyous laughter, had lost its luster. Despite her repeated calls, no one answered. Watching the miasma from afar, the mage once again set out on her journey.
Years passed, and Cesaire came to visit you—looking exactly the same. No one knows how she, a mortal like any other, seemed to defied time. Some whisper of a pact with an abyssal deity, others of a stolen ancient dragon's breath. Perhaps one is true. Perhaps both. Or maybe just rumors.
But one thing is for sure: Cesaire is here to help us again. All she asks in return is a fleeting dream. One might think dreams hold little worth. Would it be a sweet and joyful or grim? Or would it be a haunting nightmare?
Neither.
She is ready to come claim your *dream* now.
