Greetings, Lords around the world. This is Jae-Hyun Lim, director of Lord of Heroes.
As we find ourselves in that time of the year once again, it's an opportune moment to reflect on the events that have unfolded thus far. If you're like me and you can't quite recall the details of the first half of the year, I invite you to embrace a fresh perspective.
Instead of thinking, "Wow, there are only 6 months left in the year," let's shift our mindset to, "Wow, we still have a whole 6 months ahead of us!" I believe this way, we can embrace the multitude of possibilities that await us in the latter half of this year.
So with that positive outlook in mind, let's get started with the June edition of the Avillon Post!
■ Fram (Earth)
We're happy to unveil a different version of Fram to all of our Lords.
This version of Fram takes on the role of a Sniper while also possessing the ability to bolster her allies. Her unique skill set makes her particularly valuable in enhancing earth-elemental heroes. We hope all players enjoy this a bit more mature and seasoned version of Fram.
■ New Equipment
Players will be able to utilize a new equipment set for Commanders. This new gear will enable Commanders to directly assist their allies on the battlefield, taking their support abilities to another level. We hope that Commanders will see more use in battle with these new equipment effects.
■ Glacier of Oblivion Rework
It has been some time since we launched the thrilling raid, Glacier of Oblivion, and we have been attentively listening to your valuable feedback regarding its difficulty. We will be improving the raid so that it will be a more accessible experience for all players. With these forthcoming changes, we aim to enhance the accessibility of Mystic equipment that can be obtained through the Glacier of Oblivion raid, allowing players to enjoy a wider range of content with these powerful gear sets.
■ Bounty Party - Popo
Does everyone remember the Halloween and Holiday Party Time events? Well, hold onto your hats because this time round, Lords will be able to meet Popo in a similar event. And here's the twist—Popo has developed a unique penchant for collecting an array of materials. Don't miss out on this perfect opportunity to retrieve these stolen goods that Popo has been hiding ever so cunningly!
That's right, if you're getting a bit of deja vu, it's because this little guy had a cute little cameo appearance when we introduced Baretta's costume.
■ QoL Improvements
We're also excited to introduce several quality-of-life improvements for our players as part of the upcoming update.
As many of you are aware, the Hall of Experience and Hall of Treasure are currently divided into 5 stages, each consisting of 3 waves. We will be reducing the number of waves to just 1 per stage. This streamlining of the Primeval Halls aims to provide a smoother and more accessible experience for our players.
In addition, we'll be adding a Reset feature to the Primeval Halls. Now, players will be able to complete hall stages more than once a day in exchange for currency.
But that's not all. Previously, players had to exit the Alchemy screen to use it again. Now, you'll be able to perform Alchemy right from the same screen without the need to exit. We hope this change helps players save valuable time and for a more enjoyable Alchemy process. The same improvement will also be applied to Summons.
Furthermore, we will also be adding a Custom Alchemy feature. With Custom Alchemy, you'll have the ability to select a specific equipment part for a particular class. Here, players will have an increased chance of receiving their selected equipment.
We will be elaborating more on the details of this new feature in the upcoming update's Patch Notes.
However, we can't leave you hanging without sharing a sneak peek of what's around the corner.
So without further ado, let's dive into the exciting developments currently in the works.
■ Balance Adjustments
Our initial plan was to implement two significant balance adjustments per year. However, after deciding on taking a buff-centered approach rather than a nerf-centered approach, we have come to the conclusion that it would be more beneficial to the health of the game by introducing more frequent changes. With this in mind, following June's balance patch, we will also be introducing small adjustments in July. We will be taking extra steps to appropriately take into account hero usage rates and how players are using heroes when making balance adjustments.
Our goal is to ensure that these improvements will allow every hero to have the chance to shine individually.
■ Growth Records
We are currently developing a new system that will provide players with a clear view of their progress when enhancing heroes. Players will have the opportunity to further strengthen their heroes and complete missions to earn additional rewards.
■ A mercenary frozen in time
Lords will soon be able to meet the younger version of a very familiar face.
Somehow, we've found ourselves in the midst of another summer season. We've got a lot in store for our Lords during the summer months, so we're very excited for the road ahead. As we embark on this summer adventure together, we wish for everyone's health and well-being. Stay hydrated, take care of yourselves, and let's celebrate summer together in Avillon!
Thank you for taking the time to read this month's Avillon post, and we'll see you in the next.
